Hello November!

What a gorgeous fall we've had so far! Looks like we will still have some nice weather to enjoy before the white stuff flies. But when the snow does appear, I sure hope it's a little less yucky than last year! Speaking of how nice the fall has been, we enjoyed visiting Howells Pumpkin patch last weekend. We had fun and Trev and I got some great pics. (We get a little competitive over who took the best ones :))

Quick recap since the last post:
Luke is doing awesome in school. The class is doing one book project per month through the year in lieu of daily homework. The projects consist of choosing and reading a book in the predetermined genre, completing a Book Info Sheet, creating a visual from this list of choices, and a presentation to the class. Talk about learning skills for real-life!! Luke's first book was How To Train Your Dragon with a comic as his visual. Hello 97%!!!! His second book was a biography on Abraham Lincoln...95%!!! I am so very proud of his work.
Luke completed his flag football season at the Grubb YMCA. Although the Jets didn't win a game, they definitely improved over the course of the 6 weeks. Trevor served as an assistant coach up until the last game when he stood in as head coach! (Which by the way, solidified the fact that he is not cut out to be a football coach :)) The most important part was that Luke had fun and definitely wants to do it again next year. Now he says he is interested in swimming so off to find out info about that!

Elissa is growing and developing so quickly. She is just shy of 9 months old and is pulling herself up on everything. It's clear that this girl can't wait to stand and walk! She continues to be our own personal ray of sunshine with her sunny disposition.

I am looking forward to the holidays and curious to see how things will be different this year as a family of four. (post note: this post was drafted in November 2011 but actually published to the blog in March 2012.)
